Almost Time! | Shoot & Share- The Photographers Superbowl | Anjeanette Photography Arizona

I know what I will be doing MOST of February- voting in the 2018 Shoot & Share contest!!! You can't vote FOR my work... (its a fair, blind, & random 'draw' of photographers best images of 2018- there's no way to know which images or categories are next. I can't even vote for my work either unless it just happens to pop up!)
...You CAN join in the fun when it starts and click on your favorite image of four possible!

I will post links on social media when February arrives and the contest opens, with this link you can head there now and join the newsletter to get notified when the frenzy begins! . Its an inspiring month for me every year. Fantastic way to enjoy gorgeous images & get inspired creatively. Its also crazy exciting IF you see one of your photos come up- especially when you consider the millions of images that are submitted!!!♥ #portraitphotographerssuperbowl#amazingimageroulette #bestof2017 #fingersplints #thumbcasts #getinspired#shootandshare

During last year’s contest had 10,000 photographers enter and 150,000 people vote.

That means submitting is hard. Each one of us thinks, “What if I fall?” It takes courage to jump, and we’re here to remind you that you could fly!

Terrible 2’s, an art show curated by Jeff Bertrand will be held on June 4th from 6 to 9 pm at 40AU Gallery inside the historic Arcade building in downtown Nashville. This show will feature twenty-two of the best local and regional lowbrow and outsider artists. Bertrand, who is curating the show, wanted to challenge each artist to reflect on their childhood, to create paintings based on what they thought it meant to be an adult. Bertrand, who will be featured in the show, states that “when we were kids, we rushed to become so much older so quickly. Time seemed to take forever. Yet as adults, time seems to slip by us so quickly and it seems we wish we had that youth what we once had.” Each artist will create two paintings that will relate to two distinct themes. The first painting will show what each artist viewed their future as when they were children. The second will be looking back on how they view their youth as an adult. The artists featured in the show are as follows: Charles Bennett, Jeff Bertrand, Chip Boles, Tony Brock, Brooke E ,Burn 353, Ryan Case, Drew Camino, Abby Coppage, Erin Crissey, Jeremy Cross, Amy Elizabeth, Brandt Hardin, Dirk Hayes, Vince Herrera, Anjeanette Illustration, Elisheba Onedropink Israel , Megan Kelly, Jonny Lashley, Janet Lee, Anna McKeown, Michael “Old School” Mucker, Shaunna Peterson, David Pound, Joshua David Sarver, and Chad Spann -copy by Jeff Bertrand

Thursdate Thursdays | Ben's Newborn session | Hendersonville Tn Artistic Family Photographer Anjeanette Illustration Photography

I am a child of God,

And he has sent me here,

Has given me an earthly home

With parents kind and dear.

I am a child of God.

Rich blessings are in store;

If I but learn to do his will,

I'll live with him once more.

Lead me, guide me, walk beside me,

Help me find the way.

Teach me all that I must do

To live with him someday.

Little Ben was certainly blessed with a loving home! I love visiting families homes where they are comfortable and real for photo sessions. Mama Kristen was apologetic that it is not a quiet house- which made me reflect on how much quieter a home becomes as children grow. This is something Kristen and Jason know having older kids as well! However her happiness and her children's contentment was tangible, no reason to be quiet about being happy! While I am sure they squabble as good as any siblings, while I was there they were kind and compassionate with each other. For me the energy and laughter was fun and contagious. Big brother Z was such a gentleman, helping carry props and holding doors, watching over his sister and brothers. Sister B was so excited to meet me and show me her new baby, a natural conversation starter who within minutes had christened me "Aunt Jeanette"! Later I meant brother C who was ready to play and explore everything around him. As much as I love watching them grow and being a part of every stage, sometimes I miss when mine were little. The curiosity, the constant conversations and connection! So before I get too misty eyed, let's meet the newest member of Papa Jason's sweet family- Ben! Looking forward to meeting up with all the kids and folks for a family session at a very special location later on!

Behind the scenes: this is how its done! Safe baby wrangling from mom & dad :)
